Utilities

numgeo-ACT also contains small helper modules that can be used before or alongside a full calibration. These utilities are independent of the optimizer, but they use the same output and reporting conventions as the main ACT workflow.

Critical-state-line calibration

CSL calibration fits Bauer or Li-Wang critical-state-line parameters from direct \(p\)-\(e\) data, oedometric compression data or Bolton-generated points. The fitted parameters are returned as a Python dictionary, printed, plotted and inserted into the ACT report.
