February 2025
The release notes for February 2025 are:
General modifications:
- Reduced integrated stabilised elements for unsaturated soils (
uxpx-red-stab
) now use full integration for the mass balance of pore water. For more information see footnote (6) in Three-phase porous solid elements - Mohr-Coulomb (1) model
- Improved the performance of the model significantly. A reduction of simulation times by up to a factor of 3 were observed in tests.
- Added the option to exclude the dilatation angle \(\psi\) from strength reduction analysis, see Strength Reduction
- Added the option to include the Poisson's ratio \(\nu\) in the strength reduction analysis, see Strength Reduction
- If the user contact property routine returns zero for the tangential stiffness, the tangential stiffness in dependence of the adjacent continuum element in accordance with the Theory manual is used
Resolved bugs:
- An error message is issued in case element- or node-sets are defined multiple times, which used to cause an internal crash
- Resolved a bug responsible for crashes in certain cases where multiple surfaces were present in one contact pair
- Revolved a bug where the wrong scaling factor for the tangential stiffness of the Coulomb friction model was used
- An error message is issued when an element is missing a material definition
- Corrected input files of Sanisand benchmark simulations
Manuals:
- Added information about
Flow
boundary condition. See the Reference manual or the Theory manual. - Added information about Optional parameters for the Mohr-Coulomb (1) model
- Refined documentation of the Strength Reduction in the Theory Manual
- Strength reduction analysis *Reduction now takes four arguments: \(\text{FoS}_0, \Delta \text{FoS}_0, \Delta \text{FoS}_\text{max}, \Delta \text{FoS}_\text{min}\)
